Description

Nestled deep in Dartmoor National Park, Mill End Restaurant is a charming historic country retreat housed within the exquisite boutique hotel of the same name. Dating back to the 15th century, this beautifully preserved building has been tastefully modernized, providing a blend of classic and modern charm. As the sun sets, the restaurant transforms into an intimate dining space, illuminated by soft lighting that reflects off the shimmering silverware and polished glasses adorning the white tablecloths. Under the guidance of head chef Wayne Pearson, the kitchen team at Mill End creates exquisitely crafted dishes using locally sourced ingredients including fresh fish, organic vegetables, and premium meats from the surrounding countryside. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely breakfast, a satisfying lunch, an indulgent afternoon tea, or an elegant dinner, Mill End Restaurant offers a truly exceptional culinary experience.

Previously I 'd been put here whilst on business (other more standard local hotel had a technical issue so got switched last minute! . Came back again as an anniversary celebration and it was very much worth it. Despite the weather not being perfect, some nice walks along the river; found a random piece of art on am island in the middle of the river slightly upstream of the hotel. Great room Wolf Suite and great service and food once again. Mezzanine balcony was great for candles to make it more romantic . Waitor Gary was particularly memorable! Will likely return again soon! Rooms: Great rooms on both occasions Wolf suite was perfect for a romantic anniversary getaway! Food and drinks: Amazing! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Romantic, Quiet
