A quaint country pub with a beautiful garden and friendly staff. Despite a lack of vegan starters, the vegan options available were praised for their taste. The ambiance of the pub, complete with a roaring fire on cold days and free-range chickens for the kids, was highlighted as a major draw. The food was described as delicious and quickly served. Overall, the establishment was recommended for its atmosphere, food quality, and excellent service.
Lovely location, but very hot weather impacted the experience. More ventilation or air conditioning is needed in the conservatory area. Attentive staff were very efficient and professional. We ended up in the shade of the garden, but would not want to eat outside because of smokers. A memorable family event with many good things but currently unusual hot weather rather ruined things.
Looks small from front, but large extension at rear. Good food, not the cheapest though thought main dishes were a little overpriced. Bar staff seemed to know their trade (for change) as got both orange lemon in sloe peddler the espresso Martini was fab
Really enjoyed our pizza and curry and the Jail Ale. Exceptional service with a smile and absolutely recommended

A wonderful warm welcome from Shane and Michael who took over the pub last weekend. We booked a table and had a lovely 2 course meal with a bottle of wine, perfect service and enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere of the Old inn. We stayed two nights in the car park in our motor home, spending the days exploring the area on our bikes. On the second day we enjoyed the afternoon coffee and carrot cake offer, and drinks by the log fire in the evening. Lovely pub and perfect hosts. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fish
