While the Taco Bell across the street was jammed with cars waiting to place their drive-through orders, Mesquite was languishing for sales with only two or so tables of many beingused. Decor was colorful, restrooms were very clean and decorated with colorful tiles applied to the walls matched with ceramicsinks and counters in the epic bright colors of Mexico. The waiter, a nursing student at WNC, was very attentive. The food was... OK. We had the burrito, enchilada with rice and beans. I couldn't tell the burritos from the enchiladas. Both wereserved wet. I'm pretty sure the plates would not pass muster in Mexico.

I got three chicken tacos with lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. The tacos were good, but the chicken was a little bland. I also ordered two steakquesadillas to go, and the portion size did not really justify the $14 price. I would probably come back again, but this wouldnot be my first choice for Mexican food.
