Absolutely blown away by not only the service which was amazing but the food and plating was 5 star! I could smell the collards when I walked in and had to have them. The shrimp and grits was one of the best I?ve had in a long time and the addition of thechicken sausage was perfect. The pancakes are HUGE! I wish we?d known that prior to ordering for the kids with us. I cannotwait to go back. Dillsboro is such a wonderful small town and finding a unique gem of a restaurant is extra special.
BE GENTLE when the local tourist train is coming because this place will fill up in a HOT SECOND. It is a common stop for the train because it?s right on the track. The food is great- get the tacos they have perfected them. Slaw has apple init-SURPRISE! Light fare and reasonable portions. Another tastebud tester will be the deep fried deviled eggs. Enjoy! Kidfriendly too.
Sat outside and ate by the river, had the butchers bowl and was super pleased with the food. Caroline was our server and was easily the reason for the 5 star review. She was extremely tentative and personable. The food was great, the service was evenbetter and we will be coming back very soon.
Outstanding cuisine adjacent to the railroad tracks in downtown Dillsboro. Sit outside listen to the river! The salads are outstanding. Try the blackened shrimp with Gouda grits and you will never be the same again.
I waited to write this review, but we came on homecoming weekend for brunch and we had a party of 5. So, it was super busy, but we were able to get a table. The service was lacking, and I don?t remember our server?s name but I understand it was busy andour party was large. She checked in on us like once, and had to be reminded twice about getting my mom a glass of water. I got aburger, and my boyfriend got the Sweet Fire BLT tacos. We shared our meals, so I got to try both! I really liked the burger, itwas seasoned well. The french fries were not what I expected, they tasted like manufactured fries. The tacos were absolutelyamazing. He got the crispy buttered taters as his side, and they were indeed very crispy! All in all, we really enjoyed the foodhere, but the service was lacking enough that I don?t know if I?d give it another shot. But, the food may very well be worth it!
