I seriously do not understand the raves... read more Staff attitude goes a long way to influencing a dining experience and this was nothing to write home about on any level. I seriously do not understand the raves about this place. Arrived for tea with a baby in tow, in a pusher and the place was packed. Stood in line to order ,got asked quite rudely by the woman serving me " you got the 20? " I presume she meant cents and I told her I didn't. No thanks you, please , or any other niceties . I got a number for the table and the inside was still packed , given we had a pram we decided to sit just outside the restaurant. Daughter was ordering as I sat down , and came over to the table not too pleased because apparently she had been told "you can't sit outside " (again quite Rudely ) so we waited like hawks for someone to leave and swooped on the table like a seagull on a chip , trampling some toes with the pram in the process, due to there being very limited space around the tables. Most of the Meals came out quite quickly , Caesar salad for one and a schnitzel with chips for the other. Then we waited for a small chips to come out which had also been ordered. Eventually when it looked like they weren't going to materialise we went and asked for them and they were brought to our table five minutes later. I could excuse a slip up like this if anyone in the restaurant had treated us nicely to start with but it just set my teeth on edge and added to the poor service we had already encountered .Schnitzel was nice but nothing special , chips were definitely overlooked and we left most of them. I won't be back. Sure it's cheap and fast but it tries to be a restaurant and doesn't have the service or the food quality to back it up.

The Crown store is the cleanest I've seen and it is a great place for a quick meal when traveling to Melbourne for work or with family.

A selection of Schn... read more We were looking for somewhere to have some Dinner and found this place at the Back of the eatery at the Cown Complex. Service was excellent. A selection of Schnitzels available. Chicken , Beef and Fish. I had the Fish and it was delicious.
