Always love coming here there's something for everyone on the menu even though I have my go to most of the time, the high open ceilings give an inviting and uncluttered atmosphere that feels breezy, and the staff are always attentive and friendly. View all feedback.
What Kevin Rose doesn't like about Brunswick Foodstore:
This place is bustling during lunch service on the weekend. Great decor and layout but you can be served quite late depending on where you sit (the further away from the kitchen, the slower). We saw people walking in later, but get served first as...they say closer to the kitchen. We ordered the mezze plate with a side of chips to share. That was plenty for 2 people. It was visually good, tasted pretty good, but not... View all feedback.
We had a family lunch on easter and enjoyed ourselves. Not told it closesd at 2pm but did not matter. Quite a large restaurant , basic furniture and definately no ffineery, The staff were friendly and efficient. We all enjoyed our food and i would...definately go back if in the area
Found by chance after visiting 'Barkly Square ' shopping centre ordered the 'Mezze plate ' ...absolutely sensational $24 and plenty for 2. Came back for breakfast the next day (after a big night out) the pork sausage with smashed avo, poached eggs, fetta and rocket with sourdough...toast was absolutely the 'business '. Charming staff. Just do it!

Visited on our last trip to Melbourne two years ago and was keen to revisit this week. Called in for a coffee before shopping at Berkeley Square and then revisited for lunch. Excellent brioche French toast with fruit etc. Pleased to say still as good...as our previous visit and remains on our list of places for breakfast/lunch. Recommended.
We booked on Sunday, not long after the end of the lockdown, for the breakfast. the waiting staff was extremely professional; switched on, efficient friendly, despite obviously w busy. the coffee, together with the food, was delicious and beautifully presented. I didn't. here for age groups, it must be new owners. the menu was brilliant, the portions/portions were noticeable, and overall it felt as if the menu was very well thought out. we had a second round coffee and the waiter remembered our order. I am very happy to come back very soon
