That was one of the coolest bars I was. Although it was a cold night, they had many heaters and the tepee was warm and cozy. The staff was nice and the drinks were strong! Would recommend a trip to Marfa. It was one of the places that made it worth the 6.5 hours drive from Austin! View all feedback.
What Linda C doesn't like about Planet Marfa:
I ate there last night, had a beef burrito and a beer, over priced for what you get. $15 for 1 small burrito, no veggies, no extras, small I was hungry when I finished it. I've paid less for pulled pork burrito with all the extras and I was full for $12 in another town. The people I ate with had nachos and also said how poor quality the food was. Sweet bar! Many interesting places to sit and see. Get a ranch water and meet some of the locals.
Funky spot with novelty spaces, fundamental drinks, and rotating cuisine options often prepared by locals celebrating their cultures. We were there on Moroccan Monday, chatted with friendly staff, and enjoyed the subterranean seating inside the teepee.
Excellent watering hole in Marfa. We visited in the afternoon on a Monday, and there was a great mix of fellow travelers and locals. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Great vibe
Great shaded patio area for relaxing on a hot day. Kids loved sitting in the bus. The food was overpriced $4 for a plain hot dog?! , but that's probably representative of other restaurants' pricing in Marfa.
One of my favorite bars in the world. Almost totally outdoors, but intimate, varied seating options surrounding the central circular bar. Great tunes and sound system. Good vibes, staff and clientele. Nicholas and Anissa?s bomb-tastic fried chx sando popup last month or so on Wednesday?s sometimes Thursday?s too. Love this place. Plus an old school bus and full size teepee with bunker. No need to enjoy some drinks anywhere else.
