The waiteess was obviously doing her best but was clear... read more I hate to give this restaurant such a low score but honestly we may have just been there on a bad night. The waiteess was obviously doing her best but was clearly over worked. The Chicken Tortilla soup was good but not over the top. My wife's salmon was way overdone and dry and the rice pilaf was not great. I had the stuffed chicken which I thought was a unique dish and I enjoyed it. The mashed potatoes were also very good but I had ordered french fries which eventually came. They were excellent. The asparagus was almost fried with no hint of oil and very well seasoned. The star of the evening had to be the fried artichoke hearts. Very different and superb appetizer. The setting of this restaurant is very nice. There is ample outside seating in the courtyard and plenty inside in the dining room. This is a lovely hotel with a lot of character. I didnt see any celebrities, and I am not so sure I would return for another dinner. The chef obviously has geat potential, probably just needs some help in the kitchen.

Also the employees sho... read more Our food was good, our service was slow and maybe like they didn't turn in our order. The service was mixed friendly and not so friendly. Also the employees should be somewhat educated about the history of the hotel and the significance. The hostess knewnothing about the photographs on the walls of Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean.

The serv... read more First of all, the food is EXCELLENT. Everything was amazing. Service was as good as it could be with only one to two servers handling the entire place. The server present did an incredible job, but gosh they really are shorthanded currently. A whole lotof places are though, so even though the food took a long time and service was limited, the meal was well worth it. Just makesure you're not in a hurry and you'll enjoy it. That pestachio crusted chicken fried steak and gravy is unbelievable one ofthe best things i ever ate. Asparagus was a little tough and stringy probably needed to trim the tough ends off, but it wasstill a great dinner.
