Reviews summary
Nestled in the heart of Marfa, this lively bar offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for socializing. While its drinks are praised, the food receives mixed reviews, often perceived as overpriced and lacking in quality. The unique decor, including a teepee and an old school bus, adds to its charm, alongside ample seating and a welcoming vibe. Although service can be slow at times, friendly staff contribute to a relaxed experience. Ideal for casual hangouts, the establishment thrives on its lively ambiance, making it a favored spot for locals and visitors alike.

Great little place to hang out with friends and have a few drinks. Wine and cocktails available as is macro brews. No craft beer sadly. 2 levels of seating both covered and open air. Heat lamps for cool nights also available. Nice staff, well run place.Nifty vibe and casual chill feel to it. One of the most hoping spots we saw in town over 4 days. Fun times. Wish they have morecraft beer is all.
One of my favorite bars in the world. Almost totally outdoors, but intimate, varied seating options surrounding the central circular bar. Great tunes and sound system. Good vibes, staff and clientele. Nicholas and Anissa?s bomb-tastic fried chx sandopopup last month or so on Wednesday?s sometimes Thursday?s too. Love this place. Plus an old school bus and full size teepeewith bunker. No need to enjoy some drinks anywhere else.
This is a fantastic little spot to relax with friends and enjoy some drinks. They offer a selection of wine and cocktails, as well as some macro brews, but unfortunately, there aren't any craft beers available. The venue features two levels of seating, both covered and open-air, and there are heat lamps for those cooler evenings. The staff is friendly, and it's clear that the place is well-managed. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, making it one of the busiest spots we encountered during our four days in town. We had a great time here. If only they had a wider variety of craft beers!
Cute bar! Plenty of interesting places to sit and see. Grab a ranch water and meet some of the locals.

This is a really cool spot with a teepee right in the center. It's full of charm and character.
The food is very limited menu and way too pricey for what you get. Who ever heard of a $7 hot dog? Not even a foot long.
Fantastic decor! They offered a fun bull ring game to play. There are charming little nooks throughout the place. Plus, there’s ping pong and a selection of books. This is definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!
This is our go-to place each summer when we visit west Texas. Such a relaxing atmosphere, eclectic people, and cold beer!

Food is good. I had the veggie tacos and I'm a complete meat lover. I could eat them every day. The service is lacking. Heads up, there's no reason to leave a tip for the food service. You do all the leg work and then have to deal with a bartender and cook who have a beef with each other and take it out on their customers. I'm starting to see a pattern with restaurants in the big bend area.
I ate there last night, had a beef burrito and a beer, over priced for what you get. $15 for 1 small burrito, no veggies, no extras, small I was hungry when I finished it. I've paid less for pulled pork burrito with all the extras and I was full for $12 in another town. The people I ate with had nachos and also said how poor quality the food was. Great atmosphere for hanging out and having a beer, but I would not go for dinner.
My oldest son Crockett turned me on to Marfa. he said, Mom, you have to see Marfa, Texas, its the sweetest little gem of a town , and boy was he right, so drove 7 plus hours from Santa Fe, New Mexico, stayed at the Riata ane El Cosmico and sang eighties Kareoke all night and met some really cool people, the owner was a really nice inviting guy, anyway for a quick getaway i highly recommend you visit this darling town full of artistic people and their wonderful and different crafts they make! Thank You Planet Marfa for making my stay so wonderful also the food at Planet Marfa is super tasty! stop by if your in the area!
Great ambience and friendly bartender and very easy going. Definitely a great hang out place.
3 stars because the atmosphere is awesome however the food is far from good. Nachos are literally cheese microwaved onto chips over priced for that. The worker who is cooking doesn’t know anything except cooking from what he told one person in our group. The bartender is the only one so be patient as they are clearing tables, taking orders, making drinks and doing everything else. So if you enjoy drinking and hanging out this place is for you!

Great shaded patio area for relaxing on a hot day. Kids loved sitting in the bus. The food was overpriced $4 for a plain hot dog?! , but that's probably representative of other restaurants' pricing in Marfa.
Great bar! There are plenty of interesting spots to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Be sure to try a ranch water and mingle with some of the locals.
Funky spot with novelty spaces, fundamental drinks, and rotating cuisine options often prepared by locals celebrating their cultures. We were there on Moroccan Monday, chatted with friendly staff, and enjoyed the subterranean seating inside the teepee.
That was one of the most amazing bars I've ever experienced. Despite the chilly evening, there were plenty of heaters, and the tepee felt warm and cozy. The staff were friendly, and the drinks were potent! I highly recommend checking out Marfa. It truly made the 6.5-hour drive from Austin worth it!
