What Joannakaram88 dislikes about Ruby's:
The place looks fine just like any other hidden bar. The wine tasted very funny hard to digest. Empty on a friday night. Forgot to bring the olives. Not the best service. And the worst bouncers i have ever encountered. Not recommended at all!!! View all feedback.

The space suffers from harsh lighting, a shortage of comfortable seating options, and an overabundance of high tables. While there was an interesting effort to draw on the Caribbean roots of post-war Notting Hill and its famous carnival, the overall design feels artificial due to some poorly executed details. Specifically, the "fake distress" of much of the furniture gives the impression of cheapness rather than authenticity. It's surprising that with the likely substantial budgets of hotel "brands," they still miss the mark despite good intentions. In the end, this spacious lounge and bar seems like a missed opportunity to attract locals and become a popular hub in Notting Hill. By refining their approach, they could potentially win over both hotel guests and neighborhood residents, transforming it into a must-visit destination. Hopefully, they will make adjustments to avoid leaving the area with a large, uninviting, brightly lit space.
An underground bar which consists 2 areas the first one which is used as a club one and the second one which is used for live shows. We had a blackberry mojito and a pornstar martini(both good but not exceptional). The staff was friendly but a bit inexperienced. I would go again.
We visited on a Thursday evening when they had live jazz playing, and it was fantastic! We savored a tasty cocktail while enjoying the music. I highly recommend this place!

A wonderful place! the wood cladding makes a dream of more woody pastness. in an off-white world it is refreshing to see something audazing. as regards drinks, the cocktails are to die and the shnozzberries taste like shnozzberries. what else to mention? the waitress is like a 70s glue thing you never knew existed. she wished she had reacted to her to spill a drink with a seductive whisper of 'i 'm sorry james' before shooting with a muffler
Nice people, nice staff, nice drinking, nice music it is one of the best places I have given so many thanks
I often say to my friends when I go to a new cocktailbar, I rarely have the same cocktail twice, I want to try as many different as possible, and always who I am with tries different so that we try a whole series. so it says something about how much I liked the chili apple martini that as soon as I had it for my first round, I decided to end it too, and so my friend. but they get the feeling that, in contrast to designer furniture, no process or procedure was applied to ruby 's to create this look, this is exactly how it is. there are the love for detail (make a trip to the bathroom to see that no space has been forgotten) but there is no pretension at the place. <br/ <br/ i see ruby 's often as east london's best secret and worried that this is so. we went at 9:30 on a Thursday evening and my fear was that it would be packed (they could not make postings after nine.) we could hear a small nabenbub when we went down the stairs, but hallelujah gave many tables free. it became more busy when the night was awake, but it wasn't heaving. it had enough people to create an atmosphere, but only a few enough that the waitress 't overwhelmed and came back to about the right frequency to get us drinks when we wanted them. they are very cheap for a cocktail bar. mostly at £9. as I said, I had to start the chili apple martini, which was garned with a chili on the side. I could just hang there, I couldn't resist, but taking one bite, I thought they wouldn't use chili too hot for a garnish. I was wrong. a tiny bite from the end was everything I could really take, although I used it to stir my martini, which conveys something extra warm. it was such a good creation that you could definitely taste the vanilla that naturally gave the cocktail a sweet taste, but the bite the chili tempered this so that it did not feel like a dessert cocktail. and the apple taste was the main aroma. the pfeffer that was blown up was a nice note when they got some of the ice cream he had settled on.<br/ <br/ I think I had the aprikosencooler for my second drink, and it was nice, but I can't remember much. that is not to say that this was a bad drink, I know that it was 't I would have reminded myself if it had been, but it was darkened by, you guessed that martini. stephen had the Rhabarb sour, the type of the same fateal suffered. I can see that I make a beeline for this place in the cold winter nights, in his cozy dimming, where I am happy to go through the cocktail list of the development of a 'biercoat' especially in winter when his cozy intimate aura will be like a warm deck.
Ruby’s bar lounge in dalston (stoke newington road) is another great east london venue with a lot of cocktails that are all included with £8.50 price. the venue is now divided into the cocktail bar (table service and wider cocktails) and the lounge that is a bit more covered with a lot of drinks. I saw one of the cocktails in a milk bottle.

This place was awesome! Very cool spot, the live music was fantastic and the staff were super friendly; we’ll definitely be back
The vibes were great here and the cocktails were really good. We came here for a birthday and it was fun. Happy hour and not too crowded at the start not too loud. It got busier at the end of the night but decent. Had club vibes and just an enjoyable night all round.
I love being here. On a Tuesday, when live jazz is playing this is such a timeless bar to be in. Drinks are really well made, and you can usually grab a table for two. Things get more boisterous on the weekends, great for a group, it's always busy and DJs play disco and party hits.
Great little cocktail bar hidden away in the busy streets of dalston. They make a mean espresso martini. Would definitely visit again.
One of my favourite cocktail bars in London, they make fantastic drinks, I've traveled across London just for one of their corn and oil cocktails. If you time it right it's also a good place where you'll actually be able to hear your friends or if that's not your bag you can go later and they sometimes have live music
