I often say to my friends when I go to a new cocktailbar, I rarely have the same cocktail twice, I want to try as many different as possible, and always who I am with tries different, for me also so that we try a whole series. so it says something about how much I liked the chili apple martini when I had it for my first round' I decided to end with it too, and also my friend, if rubys was a piece of furniture, it wou... What Joannakaram88 dislikes about Ruby's:
The place looks fine just like any other hidden bar. The wine tasted very funny hard to digest. Empty on a friday night. Forgot to bring the olives. Not the best service. And the worst bouncers i have ever encountered. Not recommended at all!!! View all feedback.
Ruby’s bar lounge in dalston (stoke newington road) is another great east london venue with a lot of cocktails that are all included with £8.50 price. the venue is now divided into the cocktail bar (table service and wider cocktails) and the lounge that is a bit more covered with a lot of drinks. I saw one of the cocktails in a milk bottle.

Ruby is a drink. under a constantly changing old school cinema sign (in the night when I left, I did not read up, it is a fall) it is like going back in time. exfoliating wallpaper, mismatched wood furniture, classic cardboard coasters, they feel like in someone's living room or their opium the stumbled, and this is the point the barmen here are probably the most friendly I met in london. with the inexplicable inability to guess my perfume and promise of great drinks, these young really make them feel like home. we started with a blackberry mojito around, chambord and mint, all lubricated with fresh brombeer and served in milk...read more
The space suffers from harsh lighting, a shortage of comfortable seating options, and an overabundance of high tables. While there was an interesting effort to draw on the Caribbean roots of post-war Notting Hill and its famous carnival, the overall design feels artificial due to some poorly executed details. Specifically, the "fake distress" of much of the furniture gives the impression of cheapness rather than authenticity. It's surprising that with the likely substantial budgets of hotel "brands," they still miss the mark despite good intentions. In the end, this spacious lounge and bar seems like a missed opportunity to attract locals and become a popular hub in Notting Hill. By refining their approach, they could potentially win over both hotel guests and neighborhood residents, transforming it into a must-visit destination. Hopefully, they will make adjustments to avoid leaving the area with a large, uninviting, brightly lit space.
An underground bar which consists 2 areas the first one which is used as a club one and the second one which is used for live shows. We had a blackberry mojito and a pornstar martini(both good but not exceptional). The staff was friendly but a bit inexperienced. I would go again.
