That said, for a dinner that ended up costing just north of €250, I expect outstanding food, and I was disappointed. The first three courses were different breads, served with a flourish, followed by a tomato dish that also had bread mixed in. The foie gras paté was gritty to my taste, none of the velvety smoothness I expected from it. And final entree was two chunks of beef, served at room temperature and not terribly exciting. Dessert was good but not memorable. I will not be going back.
Given that there are a plethora of choices in this region, this restaurant was a huge disappointment. This marks the first time, at a Michelin rated restaurant, that I could not even attempt to finish my entree after having taken one bite. That’s after going to Michelin restaurants all over the globe in several major cities. Keep this up and I suspect that this restaurant will not be able to maintain its sole star. On this night, the primi featured dried fish eggs which was akin to cat food, overly fishy and salty. The entree amberjack was tough and not chewable. My wife’s entree had a breaded beef that was devoid of any taste. Thai flavors also featured in one of the dishes; it was literally all over the place. The menu was neither cohesive nor coherent. Needless to say, we had to make our exit before the end of the meal.
This is a must try culinary experience while in flourorence. or may I say in the world! the price does not match the tasting menu. we thought it should cost much more. what an incredible experience
That is my only serious review on google map. super nice restaurant with great service. I enjoyed every court I had. they are kreatiw on a delicious way that I can notice the speciality, but at the same time tasty. perfect place for a good lunch (inner and also I take) especially thanks to the girl in sala. it was really nice service.
Had such a delightful lunch here. Menu has good range of choices and you could order different items even if you were dining together. Small and cosy dining area overlooking the kitchen, and you'd be able to see the entire team through a full glass window. Chef and servers were very friendly and knowledgeable, and made us feel at home enjoying our best meal in Florence. Deserving of their Michelin star, and bravo again!
