Reviews praise Ignite’s tender meats, generous portions and friendly staff, but note occasional third‑party delivery delays and inconsistent courier behaviour.
Came here last night for a meal. Got the poppadoms and 3 tray. The onions were very bland the mixed pickle was horrible. Took hubby's order never asked for mine had to tell him. I got chicken tikka masala. Worse I've ever had with a huge tomato in it. Rice was definitely not pilau. Hubby's told his curry as hot. Once again it wasn't as for the chicken peas they were rank rotten. Definitely not anywhere near a 4.5 star. Had better out a takeaway. They even tried to take a man's plate away while he was still eating it. Felt as if they are in a rush to get you out. Wasn't even busy. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
I've eaten in many curry houses all over and the food here was simply outstanding. The Kahari lamb and Jaipuri lamb was lean, tender and plentiful. Just spicy enough and full of flavour. Two others in the party were equally delighted. Lemon and pilau rice, mushroom and cauliflower bhajees and a garlic naan rounded of the meal. Also fantastic service from the waiting staff, thank you Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
Ordered from here a few times now, best Indian restaurant I've had takeout from in Edinburgh by a long shot! Very good quality meat, rich flavourful sauces and reasonably priced for the large portion sizes. 10/10 will continue ordering from there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It was 2 hours 20 minutes late. Just worse delivery service I have ever had. Unsubscribing and deleting your app, will never use again.
Very poor experience from a local restaurant which online ratings led us to believe would be good. A couple of weeks ago, after work, my partner and I decided to give a new Bengali/Indian restaurant a try during the middle of the week. We booked in advance to confirm use of a common offer available on Tastecard. Between two, we ordering a drink, a side, a large curry and two naans but the staff insisted we must order more to use it. They were rude and made us feel uncomfortable in an empty restaurant. We considered staying but didn’t want to order too much food so paid for a drink and left without ever trying it. Although living close by, we will not be returning to this restaurant. There are so many great places to eat only a short walk up Dalry Road or towards Lothian Road. There is no reason to treat anyone how they did us. I wonder whether this was because they expect customers to order alcohol and non-veg food for a few extra pennies?! A shame not to have tried out this local restaurant but we would have felt worse if we stayed.

Many regulars prefer collecting from the restaurant after trains at Haymarket — staff are noted for fast, friendly handovers and the kitchen’s consistent ability to produce very tender meats and bold curries even during busy service, which is why walk‑ins and repeat takeaway customers are common.
