We ordered dinner for 4 for Valentines Day Lunch. The service was great. TheFood was tasty, hot, fresh and plentiful. We paid cash and picked up our own order; and they gave us 10 percent off. Don't know about the smorgasbord, but the take out was Great! Best in Duncan for sure! View all feedback.
What Judy Purdy doesn't like about W Woodland Chinese:
My wife and I tried 2 dishes off the menu tonight. Singapore vermicelli and ginger beef and onions. The vermicelli was tasty but had very little protein in it. The ginger beef and onions or should I say onions with beef and a little ginger was okay but not exactly what we had expected. I have much worse in Duncan, but could still be better. A true family restaurant, with the young daughter helping out with waitressing. Very cute. The food is fresh and well prepared. The whole family id friendly, and the atmosphere casual.
I was a little taken back when first walking in. Its not even a little bit nice on the inside. Everything is mix matched and all over the place, stuff hung randomly on white dirty walls. Woodland's was a recommendation that we thought we would try. We decided we would get take-out. It was probably the best Chinese Food we have had in Duncan. Fair Pricing. So glad we didn't judge it by the looks and sometimes the worst looking is the best! Can't wait to go back! to try more!
We thought we would try something new. Do not waste your money by eating here. We ordered pork fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce and ginger beef. The rice was dark yellow and each piece of rice was a millimeter square. It was completely tasteless and I am not sure if it was actually rice. Can rice be cut up into 1mm tiny squares? The chicken in black bean sauce was dry and the cook dumped all the old dried up green beans from the kitchen on the plate. There were so many that I thought I was given a huge plate of dried up green beans. The ginger beef was covered in a red chili sauce with some cut up ginger placed on top of it. It was deep fried to the point that I was afraid I was going to break a tooth by biting it. Don't waste your money here.
We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Don't let the decor fool you. This is a quality family owned restaurant and It's also good value.
This is an excellent family owned operated restaurant . Food and service top notch. Good for families with children.
