Old Firehouse Wine Bar - Duncan

Recommend a drink and tapas at the bar and/or dinner. the drinks were impressive with the petty and funny concoctions with local ghosts. recommend ordering the Polnta dry! and the lemon risotto and yam tacos, but I'm pretty sure. everything is amazing. the best was the service; jeff, the owner, his staff and the kitchen. What a tasty, people want to really love the restaurant and share their love to the community with visitors, especially after they have come out of the long COVID problems. enjoy the drinks, the kitchen and the people!

At least my second review of this restaurant. I just have to write another one, because my last visit was another excellent experience. I stole my wife here for Valentine's Day dinner. once again the service, eating and drinks were great. good selection of craftsman and also. very delicious cocktails and good wine list. all staff are very friendly and make them very welcome. we are always impressed when we visit. will definitely be back and back.

I'm trying to come here a few times a year. I just have to say the service is very friendly, friendly and professional. large selection of cocktails, wein and beer. eating is amazing, and I've never been disappointed with everything I'm doing. I would. recommend anyone looking for a nice night outside.

It is always a great evening in the wine bar with jeff and his crew! this visit we started with delicious cocktails mixed by jeff, ampersand at tee and mexicali mule were delicious! our firm the tapas was presented both beautifully and an incredible combination of aromen. the duck feeder rolls were filled with tenderer dee and the sour cherry cake sauce was so good, I wanted to go home a cripple (to pour over vanilla ice cream would be delicious.) the bark liquors, mushrooms and nut croquettes, flower cauliflower croquettes and fries were all great. to add a little more nutrition, we have the carburized brokkoli. one of our favorites added. I am so glad that jeff and his employees were able to congratulate their usual exceptional service and incredible food despite the closure and post covid restrictions!

A group of 6 of us planned a dinner here for a Saturday night and about half the group chose the dine out Cowichan menu. It was $35 and included a appetizer a main and a dessert. The squash and roasted brussel sprout salad was...amazing and we all talked about how we might recreate it moving forward. We also tried the chickpea fries and the fried bread (very garlicky and delicious). For the mains everyone wanted to try the duck curry but there was only one left which was disappointing. I had the seafood curry and my partner had the veggie curry. They both very tasty and different from our usual fare. Dessert was a section of mini fried doughnuts, cannoli and zucchini cake. The doughnuts were delicious and definitely the winner of the group. The drink menu had lots of options and our friends enjoyed the wine flight. We would certainly return for another dinner date.
