Feedback
Despite some negative aspects, such as slow service and issues with seating, the Searhouse restaurant received mixed reviews with praise for its delicious food, great ambiance, and accommodating staff. Customers enjoyed the high-quality meals, especially the steaks, and appreciated the efforts of the manager to ensure a pleasant dining experience. However, complaints about long wait times, lack of recognition for special occasions, and inconsistent service indicated room for improvement. Overall, Searhouse seems to be a popular choice for special occasions and intimate dining experiences, although some customers felt let down by the service provided.
We have been going to this restaurant for years but it has changed. We ordered the 5 ounce filet mignon which came out looking like 3 ounces. It made me want to yell Where’s the beef? The beef was tasty and the appetizers were good. Nothing outstanding about the food. My real “beef” with the restaurant is the service. The waiter took my unfinished drink before I was done. The bus person literally stared at us while eating and as soon as I dropped my fork he swooped in to take my plate despite others still eating. I saw him doing this at other tables where he would stare at them. It was creepy, unpolished and unprofessional. Not sure of the rush act, the restaurant was empty on a Wednesday night. We were there for a special occasion and they were made aware but did nothing to make it special. I’m not looking for a freebie but they have known us for years and never offered us anything special. Maybe this restaurant is not doing well. With the many steak restaurants around, this one isn’t what it used to be. Not sure where Rosa the owner/manager was last night but when she is there everything is run beautifully and you are made to feel special. Super disappointed in this once special and wonderful dining experiences.
Our waitress seemed a bit green. We ordered a Mezcal Margarita, it came back as a regular Margarita and then when we sent it back she said there isn't any Mezcal. Food was decent. A bit loud but all in all a decent experience.
The Sear House restaurant provided excellent food but lacked in service. I had a reservation for 6:30 PM on Mother's Day. I understand that service may be slower on holidays, but it seemed like they had overbooked. Upon arrival, the hostess was busy and we couldn't check in for our reservation. Once we were finally able to speak with her, we were still put on a waiting list for a table. It felt like our reservation was not honored. When we were seated, two out of the three of us did not have bread plates and one of us was missing a butter knife. We sat down around 6:50, placed our orders by 7:00, and didn't receive our main meal until 8:10 PM. Despite the great food and dessert, it didn't seem worth it to spend almost 2.5 hours at the restaurant.
Always a pleasure to eat there. It’s improved considerably over the last year and I see that there are many more patrons than they used to be. Food is consistently good. Service is always wonderful. It’s become one of our favorite places.
