This used to be one of our favorite spots for a delicious burger, but I’m really disappointed with the recent changes to the burger menu. They've replaced the thick, customizable burgers we loved with two thin, well-done options. Last night, I tried to order my burger medium, but was told that it's no longer an option. The burger I received was overcooked and dry, resembling fast food but at a much higher price. The fries and wine service were great, but since I primarily visit for the burgers, I’m sadly going to have to remove this restaurant from my list.
The food was absolutely delicious, and it was clear that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. However, I deducted one star because the server only began to clean the table after we paid. While she was attentive and checked on us multiple times, she never took away our empty plates or napkins during our meal. She was pleasant, but I think she needs to pay more attention to the tables.
I ordered the standard burger with the sauce on the side. While the sauce paired nicely with the fries, it didn’t complement the burger, as it had a familiar taste reminiscent of chili. The burger itself was excellent and cooked just right. The truffle fries were tasty, but they didn’t actually taste like truffles. They were topped with cheese shavings, which ended up more like dry cheese that didn’t really stick to the fries. The server was friendly, and the atmosphere felt more like a dinner spot; there were only two other families present on a Sunday afternoon. I remember they used to offer a brunch menu when they first opened. I wish they would bring back the option for beef burgers with a single patty.
The restaurant offers four vegan burger options, complete with vegan cheese. I decided to try the Sunshine Burger, which was a delightful change from the typical Impossible Burger or Bean Burger. The menu clearly identifies vegan items, making it easy to choose. The fries were fantastic as well!
