We received a great welcome and fab service throughout. Every course of the tasting menu was explained as it was served and each one was delicious. We had the accompanying drinks flight and each one was matched perfectly. The meal took about 4 hours to have the 12 courses so wasn’t rushed and timed just right. Probably the best meal we’ve ever had. Also got chatting to some of the other guests which was an unexpected but lovely addition to the overall evening. Absolutely recommended!

The food is both innovative and flavourful often showcasing fresh local produce to its best effect. The turbot last night was a delight as was the venison, in fact every course of the tasting menu was beautifully prepared and presented. Do not be put off by the slightly spartan interior or the unprepossessing exterior. The chef and his wife will soon beguile you with their marvellous food. Booking essential !! A truly wonderful dining experience.
