It was sunny and warm enough to sit outside in the sun... read more We ate at lunchtime and ordered waffles ice cream. Daughter had flake as an extra I had chocolate sauce. It was sunny and warm enough to sit outside in the sun with our delicious hot waffles. We are not usually in these parts so this was somewhere different. The cafe inside is decorated in quite dark colours.

Being 110 miles away, this was the only thing I could think to do to put a smile on her face. I mentioned she was having a tough day in the order notes. Not only did the staff put some extra biscoff in the box they also wrote a lovely note. This made her day. Such kindness is rare. Thank you all those involved

However, the restaurant was not very clean, the service was lacking, and the cookie dough I ordered was dry and underwhelming. I specifically requested a chocolate sorbet shake with Oreos, but they forgot to add them initially and only sprinkled some on the top after I reminded them. Overall, there is room for improvement.
