They play nice, soothing music, and the best part is that there are usually only one or two other customers when we dine in, which creates a lovely, quiet atmosphere. The woman who manages the counter and serves customers always has a wonderful smile and a friendly demeanor. The chef is very laid-back and seems to have a limited grasp of English. Once, when it was just him in the restaurant, he took our drink order, but we didn’t receive what we requested. We laughed it off, and the woman came back to take our appetizer and main course orders, making the experience still enjoyable. To top it all off, they are incredibly generous! I always ask for extra sauce with my curry, and they usually provide a whole container for just $5 extra. Prices are reasonable, and I highly recommend this place!

The onion bhaji was affordable and delicious; instead of traditional round balls, they were served in strips, making them perfect for sharing.

And I will.<br/ <br/ If you like Indian food, you'll love Yatra. Upper Hutt's best kept secret. And probably the best Indian in the Wellington region. They have a lunch menu and I just found out they even deliver! <br/ <br/ Highly Recommended
