Quinns Post - Upper Hutt
Quinns Post
Description
Nestled in a cozy cabin-style setting, this restaurant offers a mix of dining experiences that leave patrons feeling varied about their visits. While some dishes, such as hearty burgers and delicious fish and chips, garner high praise for their quality and value, others fall short, suffering from sogginess and lack of flavor. Service remains a strong point, with friendly staff consistently enhancing the dining atmosphere. Although many guests enjoy the relaxed vibe and reasonable prices, culinary inconsistency prompts mixed emotions, leading some to question their return. Overall, it’s a dining spot with potential, albeit one needing refinement in its offerings.

Wonderful friendly family restaurant I ordered crumb fish and chips, delicious and fresh! $24 for large serving! Worth it. I will be back! Nice polite staff! thank you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Was disappointed with the food. Was soggy and had a funky taste. Not kid friendly. Only one out of the five of us finished their meal. We paid $116 for five meals and it was unfortunately not worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was relatively clean but meals were unfortunately below par. We won't be coming back unfortunately. Service: Dine in
Lovely front of house staff. The meals are always delicious and of great value. Service is excellent, yet unobtrusive. We find this a relaxing place to have lunch. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
I got both the scotch and sirloin steaks. Although they were cooked how I had requested, they were both bone dry. As if they 'd been microwave thawed out, then seared. My son didn 't even get half way through his steak. For the price I was severely displeased. Chips were luke warm there wasn 't an ounce of seasoning or salt caused both of us to have upset stomachs afterwards. Service: Dine in
Had my first visit there for a weekday lunch and it’s pretty much a bar/cafe with a pokies room. Was slightly busy and their menu consists of light snacks, specials, main meals and desserts. The guy that took our order was very friendly and repeated our order to make sure it was all correct. The meals were great and the small portion of the big breakfast is ample enough to not be hungry after. The coffees however did come in a takeaway cup which was a bit of a disappointment but coffee tasted great. A few parking available on site and heaps on the street. Would definitely be back for another visit.
