During our visit to the coffee shop on Commercial Street, Shoreditch, East London this afternoon, we encountered a very rude lady barista who claimed to be the... read more During our visit to the coffee shop on Commercial Street, Shoreditch, East London this afternoon, we encountered a very rude lady barista who claimed to be the manager. However, when we checked with another local Costa, we found out that the manager was actually a man. We were shouted at and talked over by this disrespectful representative of Costa before I could even finish my first question. The issue arose when I tried to ask if the toilet required a code for entry as my 2-year-old baby needed his nappy changed. I was told to use a public toilet and was scolded for expecting to use their facilities, even though I mentioned that my wife and baby were next in line to order drinks. If you are having difficulty training your staff in basic customer service and communication, I can provide you with information on available courses that could help improve their behavior. This incident ruined a rare family outing for us. We are regular Costa customers, but this experience has made us reconsider our loyalty.

I or... read more I went to this restaurant for breakfast last week while staying in Brick Lane. It has a lovely Costa layout and they offer regular juice, unlike Starbucks. I ordered a toastie and two sausage rolls, which were served with either ketchup or brown sauce. These rolls are the best I've ever had and taste delicious, much better than Starbucks. I highly recommend them. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and the staff are polite and friendly. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Costa Coffee is one of my preferred coffee chains.
