Ideal location by Spitalfields Market. Nice layout to relax. Staff very efficient, cleanliness orientated friendly.
During our visit to the coffee shop on Commercial Street, Shoreditch, East London this afternoon, we encountered a very rude lady barista who claimed to be the manager. However, when we checked with another local Costa, we found out that the manager was actually a man. We were shouted at and talked over by this disrespectful representative of Costa before I could even finish my first question. The issue arose when I tried to ask if the toilet required a code for entry as my 2-year-old baby needed his nappy changed. I was told to use a public toilet and was scolded for expecting to use their facilities, even though I mentioned that my wife and baby were next in line to order drinks. If you are having difficulty training your staff in basic customer service and communication, I can provide you with information on available courses that could help improve their behavior. This incident ruined a rare family outing for us. We are regular Costa customers, but this experience has made us reconsider our loyalty.
