Despite mixed reviews on service speed, the food quality remains a standout, especially during the affordable offer menu. The restaurant's large space and relaxed atmosphere make it a solid dining option in the Canary Wharf area, attracting patrons for brunch, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. The chain maintains similar standards across its locations, emphasizing consistent quality and a casual dining experience. Overall, Tom's Kitchen is worth a visit for those seeking British cuisine in a stylish yet relaxed setting.
The three-course set menu at this restaurant is delicious, includes Prosecco and coffee, and is a fantastic value at £25. I highly recommend trying it!
During lunch time, the restaurant was not very busy, but there were a few large tables. Our order took over an hour to arrive, and my guest ended up having to get his as a takeout. When I paid the bill, we received an apology, but when I mentioned that my guest had to leave due to running out of time, I received a defensive response of "well, you can see we had some large parties in". This was not acceptable during lunch time, so I don't plan on returning to this restaurant again.
I had high expectations for this restaurant after seeing the Canary Wharf light display, but unfortunately I was left disappointed. I had booked the online £20 2 course menu with a cocktail, but when we arrived, the staff seemed unaware of my booking. The set menu was limited and it wasn't clear on the website what was included. The food took a long time to arrive and was lukewarm. My friend was disappointed by the small portion of fish and had to order extra chips. The desserts were enjoyable, but overall the restaurant lacked the wow factor I was expecting. The staff were friendly, but the atmosphere was stark and minimal. The price of the meal didn't seem to match up with the experience. I probably wouldn't return with so many other options available.
