What Tom H doesn't like about Shanghai Terrace:
For a restaurant that is in a hotel like the Peninsula and that comes with a reputation of having the best Chinese food in Chicago this was disappointing. This was one of the places I was most excited to try when coming to Chicago. I had never seen a roof top Chinese restaurant before especially one that has a dumpling menu. My experience was interesting, firstly getting into the restaurant was a bit of a challenge; but, that was partially due to my own fault.
