Appleyard - Sidcup
Appleyard
Description
AppleYard has garnered mixed reviews following significant price hikes, leaving loyal patrons disheartened. Once celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and attentive service, many diners lament that the food quality has declined, with undercooked vegetables and disappointing mains becoming common grievances. Though some visitors praise the friendly staff and delightful tapas, others find the overall dining experience lacking, particularly with the recent menu stagnation. While there are glimpses of enjoyable meals and positive service, the shift towards higher prices without enhanced offerings has led to disappointment, suggesting that management needs to refocus on customer satisfaction to restore its former glory.

It was our first visit with my family, and every dish exceeded our expectations—beautifully presented, full of authentic flavours, and crafted with genuine passion. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the churros made for the ideal sweet finale. A special thank you to Alex, who made the evening truly memorable. His deep knowledge of the menu, warm personality, and impeccable attention to detail turned a great night into an unforgettable one. He anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, suggested flawless wine pairings, and made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. We can’t wait to go back again soon! Presentation is key and the presentation was not great although the food tasted lovely apart from the churros which were so greasy! And the chocolate sauce so watery. Wine not great either Staff were great, friendly and knowledgeable but restaurant is a bit cramped and staff kept knocking my husbands chair on the way past every time Lovely ambience and decor
