I have been eating at the Gurkha Kitchen for over years. They are really friendly and helpful. Great vegetarian dishes on offer, as well as some meat dishes that I have never seen anywhere else which makes it interesting. As a family we go...there a lot, as they can cope with peanut allergies. What User doesn't like about Gurkha Kitchen:
Booked a table for seven o'clock this evening. Despite arriving early, was ignored and made to stand for 20 minutes. Only to eventually be told they had given our table to someone else. We have been coming to the restaurant for over a year and spent a considerable amount of money here. I even booked our Christmas work with them. I will never go again. One of the best curries I've had for many years. Good service and excellent Gurkha beer too!
We visited this restaurant twice during our trip to Shetland and both times we were impressed by the delicious food and flavors. We tried dishes with chicken and prawns, which were both excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, and there was a good selection of Nepalese and Indian dishes to choose from. We highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience. The price per person for dinner was between £20-30.
We were pleasantly surprised by Gurkha Kitchen, where we were able to enjoy delicious Nepali and Indian cuisine in Shetland. The Kulfi dessert was the perfect finishing touch! Maya, the restaurant's hostess, was a delight to meet and provided us with wonderful Nepali hospitality. We look forward to visiting again. Vegetarian options: Gurkha Kitchen offers a wide variety of choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians on their extensive menu. Service: The dining experience was excellent.
