While the hake was dry and overcooked, other dishes like the Smoked Haddock Cullen Skink were tasty. The setting offers stunning views, and the staff is friendly. Delicious local fish dishes and desserts, as well as great coffee and cakes, are available. Despite the crowded nature of the restaurant, a visit to Fjara offers a pleasant dining experience and beautiful views of the sea.
The restaurant has a very efficient and dedicated staff providing excellent service. The cooked breakfast was exceptional, so much so that we visited twice in one day. The restrooms were clean and the views from the restaurant were great. Make sure to book ahead.
I have been to this restaurant twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were fantastic. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They serve delicious local fish dishes, tasty desserts, and they even have cakes available for takeout. Most of the tables offer a great view of the sea.
Out of all the top recommendations for dining in Lerwick, this was the only one that truly lived up to the hype! Our waiter, who had tattoos and a very cool appearance, was attentive and we never had to wait long despite the restaurant being busy. The carbonara we ordered was absolutely delicious.
Great breakfast coming off the overnight ferry. Busy. Beautiful views. Good service. Laid back bistro vibe. Better then than for dinner in evening.
Lovely birthday meal, food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful 10 out 0f 10!
