Homer - Seattle
Homer
Description
Homer melds Greek and Mediterranean influences into inventive, vegetable-forward small plates perfect for sharing. Fresh, wood-fired pita and hummus, standout lamb, meatballs, grilled beets, pork and black cod, and rotating soft-serve desserts earn high praise. Creative cocktails and house shrub sodas complement precise cooking; the open-kitchen counter is recommended. Service is friendly and energetic; the vibe is lively and buzzy — ideal for groups, dates, and visitors, though expect weekend waits and a noisy dining room.

The only dish that didn’t quite hit the mark was the roasted rapini; it had a strong bitter aftertaste from the rapini itself. Although the whipped feta and dates helped balance the flavors, it still wasn’t enjoyable. Don’t overlook their drink menu! The Zeus Juice was incredibly smooth (and not overly sweet) with a delightful tang from the lime and lemon. They also have a nice selection of wines, so be sure to explore that as well. And finally, the soft serve was fantastic. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the nutty taste of pistachio and the sweet yet citrusy notes of orange blossom. Personally, I prefer my soft serve to be ultra-creamy, so I felt the texture could be improved. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful dessert to cap off our meal.
What an exceptional restaurant! The menu features Greek and Mediterranean influences, and everything we tried was delicious. The homemade meatballs, salmon, and ham apple salad were particularly refreshing. The cocktails were outstanding as well. Our server was incredibly friendly and energetic. I highly recommend checking this place out, but be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible!
Everything I've ever wanted! The food was absolutely delicious. The lamb, which I didn't get a picture of, was incredible—truly to die for. The soft serve was also fantastic. As a college student used to bland meals, the flavors here were a delightful surprise.
After living in Seattle for a few years, I’ve discovered my favorite restaurant. Everything—from the staff to the decor to the food—was just how I hoped it would be. It made me feel incredibly comfortable. I picked a few dishes at random to share with my friend, and I can honestly say I have no suggestions for improvement; it was absolutely perfect. My friend felt the lamb was a bit too salty, but that’s really a matter of personal taste. Tonight, we enjoyed the top three spreads, the lettuce buttermilk salad, and the lamb entrée. I’d rate it a solid 110 out of 100 (with an extra 10 points for having Homer as the coaster logo). I’ll definitely be coming back!
You think you have had good mediterranean food. And then you come try this place and everything seems like a lie. I had heard about Homer a lot and finally tried it. Expect an hour wait for your table on weekends. We got the best seat in the house on the bar by the kitchen. You can see the masters at work right in front of you the chefs, the griller, the baker and the head chef at the pass. The menu is concise which is usually a hint that everything is gonna be good. We got the hibiscus water, house shrub soda, the lamb entree, hummus with cumin and pita bread, the apple, ham and ricotta salad and a raspberry x coconut soft serve. The drinks were unlike anything we’ve had. House shrub soda is highly recommended. It was sour and refreshing. The hummus was delectable and the pita was piping hot and fresh out of the oven. I never knew apple and ham could taste like it did in the salad. The lamb was cooked to perfection the beans and salad that accompanied the entree reminded me of the dishes my mom used to make with eggplant. It was spectacular. This is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Look no further.
