Edit 2026. Came back to Nue after a few years and I have to say they’ve really stepped up the vegetarian options — I loved the Malaysian dahl! The prices felt more reasonable and I’m happy to see them keeping their classic dishes while trying out a few newer ones. previous review I have visited Nue twice, and while I’m impressed and excited by the varied menu, I’ve not been blown away by the quality of the food, especially given the price $30+ each, not including drinks). My fellow diners enjoyed their meat based dishes, but I was not particularly happy with the Ghanaian Red Red, especially the portion size I was not whatsoever filled up, and three fried plantain pieces the star of the dish IMO) was not enough tastiness to be savored. We were also rushed out at the end of the meal with the check coming while we were still eating, and we were asked to leave our table due to the restaurant closing even when there were still other diners midway through their meals and it was 15 minutes before their closing time. Overall, I wouldn’t discourage this spot for adventurous eaters to try, but I personally will not be coming back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
I had been looking forward to trying the mofongo, but it seems like it may have been removed from the menu because plantains are likely out of season. However, I did enjoy what I ordered instead - pineapple cornbread and French tacos without the carrots (due to my allergy). I would definitely suggest trying out nue. The food is unique, and I also enjoyed the seating. Seattle, show some love to nue with good music and great vibes. I will definitely be returning.
