Boat Bar received mixed reviews after changes to the menu didn't impress all diners. While some found the food excellent but overpriced, others enjoyed the fantastic seafood options and cocktails. The service was generally good, but some guests felt underwhelmed. The atmosphere was also a point of contention, with small portions and high prices leading to a dystopian feel for some guests. Overall, while some had great dining experiences, others felt disappointed and hesitant to return in the future.
Ideal place on a summer night for interesting small fish dishes, white wine, and good company!
The servant is irresponsive. We are not very happy about this
The ambience is great! Cute spot, love the colors! The food was good but everything was over-salted. I wouldn't run back for the food.
Boat Bar is a nice alternative if you can’t get reservations at Bateu!
Starting with great craft cocktails, delicious oysters, a crab special, asparagus, and the steak frites, everything was prepared perfectly. And the bread pudding was the perfect dessert. The server was fairly brusque in a hurry to get everything ordered even though we were seated at 8:15 and they weren’t terribly busy. If she had slowed down a little, we would have ordered and enjoyed more food and drinks.
