Description

Tucked in Schenectady, this old‑school Italian gem pairs homemade sauces, generous portions and standout classics — from chicken and eggplant Parmesan to veal with linguine and a much‑praised chocolate cream pie. Warm, attentive staff create a family‑friendly, nostalgic atmosphere ideal for celebrations and regular nights out. Food is made fresh to order, so service can be leisurely, but prices are fair and portions hearty, keeping locals returning despite occasional variability between dishes.

I'm really going to miss Riccitello’s when they close later this week. Everything there is fresh and delicious, with generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. The classic, old-school atmosphere is a rarity these days. For my dining experience, I chose to eat in for dinner, and the cost per person was between $20 and $30.

The service was incredibly slow, taking an hour to receive our dinner, and it just wasn't worth the wait. Given the restaurant's claim of being authentic Italian, we had higher expectations for some delicious dishes, but neither entrée stood out. I won't be returning.

I read a review about the service being slow. I wouldn't necessarily count that as a bad thing. The food is made fresh to order. The service is very attentive and free amount of money pay for the amount of food you get. Considering the quality of the food. There is no comparison really in the area. ????

I enjoyed everything regarding the meal. The food was well made and was delicious especially the clams casino. The limoncello cake turned out to be homemade by the owners wife. It's that kind of old school proper place and you won't be disappointed.Bonus points to them because I went by myself and they weren't even really fazed by it despite it being 630 on a Saturday night.I've had plenty of other places make me feel uncomfortable showing up to eat by myself but this place welcomed me warmly.
