A must visit when you?re in San Diego! All the cakes, pastries, and treats are beyond extraordinary- beautiful and delicious! I discovered this gem two years ago while staying at Ocean Beach then drove here from Mission Beach while visiting this last time.I wish I could find a bakery like this in Colorado, the customer is top notch. Treat yourself!

I am disappointed that you don't get the same cakes shown on the front display with the fresh flowers of the day. Instead they surprise you with a different looking version with not so fresh looking florals on top. What I saw in front was what I expectedsince it is for a special birthday celebration. And these pretty desserts are not cheap. Got them early in the morning so maybethey gave us the leftovers in the back?

Last night I spent $160 at a fancy Italian restaurant. This morning I spent $20 at a Cuban bakery called azucar. The bakery was magnitudes better as far as tasty food and service. I'm only sad that it wasn't 11a yet so I could try the sandwiches. GuessI'll have to revisit San Diego, oh well. We had the Cuban pie, 5/5 (like a Cuban sandwich with flaky sweetness added in). Somesort of gluten free Chia coconut banana muffin, which was killer. The guava cheese pastry was the best of its kind I've ever had(grew up in south Florida). Cortadito was nice always a bit too sweet for me but they were happy to do half sugar. The pricesare even fair. I love Azucar.

So good! Guava cheese pastry is yummy. Pistachios de limon is good too. Parking can be limited during the weekend.

First time here. Ordered the Cuban pie with pork, cheese and pickle filling. It just came out of oven, so it was warm. Not too bad. Ordered the passion fruit/berry scone…a bit too much sugar for my taste, but good. Not a bad option for different types of pastries.
