Was happy to find a whataburger on my way through Louisiana. Food was great, but was really impressed with the staff. Very friendly, and incredibly helpful.
I ordered through the app, which said my meal would be ready by 12:45. However, there was no check-in button for counter pickup. I arrived at 12:41 and informed the staff about my mobile order. The employee checked the screen and told me there was no order under my name. I showed him my mobile order receipt, and he went to the back, leaving me waiting for nearly 10 minutes. By then, it was past 12:45. When he finally returned and saw me waiting, he appeared quite anxious. He checked the screen again, and to my surprise, my order showed up at 12:52. I received my food shortly after that and went to my car. Upon opening the burger, I was disappointed to find it poorly assembled—lettuce was falling out, and there was more sauce on the packaging than on the burger itself. I've had no issues with the app at other Whataburger locations, so maybe their system was having problems. In any case, the burger could have been put together much better. While I'm not saying I won't return, I don't plan to go back anytime soon.
The food was fantastic, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. They actually came to our table, took our cups to the drink machine, and brought us refills! When was the last time you had that kind of service at a fast food restaurant? It’s a wonderful place, and we will definitely be coming back!
The service is incredibly disappointing. If they don't improve their speed in getting orders out, I worry they'll go out of business. The food is excellent, but waiting in the drive-thru line for 45 minutes to an hour is unacceptable, especially when there weren't many cars ahead of me. If they could boost their efficiency and customer service, like Chick-fil-A does, this place could really thrive.
I had the worst customer service experience of my life. I went through the drive-thru and waited at the speaker for 7 minutes, with about 8 cars behind me. When I reached the window to inquire about the delay, the woman there was busy counting change. Even though she saw me, it took her another 2-3 minutes to acknowledge my presence. I asked if there was a problem with the speaker, and she replied, "No, it works, but as you can see, I was busy counting my change." I was shocked! Then she told me, "I can't take your order here; you'll need to go back in line. You should have been more patient with me." I will never return to that Whataburger again.
