Valentino’s, a beloved Italian restaurant nestled in Ripon, has been delighting patrons since its establishment in 1986 by the diSilvestro brothers, Mario and Fermino. With a rich history rooted in fine dining—previously at Number 6 in Harrogate—the brothers sought to infuse the traditional flavours of their Italian heritage from Pianella, Abruzzo, into every dish. Today, the restaurant is proudly led by Rick, who joined the family business as an apprentice at just 15 years old, along with Danny and Pablo, all of whom were trained under Fermino, ensuring the authenticity and passion of Italian cuisine continue to thrive at Valentino’s. In 2020, Valentino’s underwent a significant refurbishment, transforming its 1700s building to include five cosy luxury en-suite rooms, allowing guests to experience a touch of Italy while enjoying a comfortable stay. The restaurant itself has also been revamped, featuring an inviting atmosphere that represents the family-oriented ethos of Valentino’s. With disabled access, the restaurant is designed to tell the story of family celebrations, making every visit special. Our menu showcases the heart of Italian cooking, with signature dishes crafted from time-honoured recipes. From wafer-thin Roman pizza bases, created by Fermino's brother-in-law Alfredo, to indulgent desserts hand-made by Danny, including his famously generous Tiramisu, each bite is a tribute to our heritage.
