Several of their main menu items had slight recipe changes made to them leaving them worse. The Kalua Pork Sandwich, which I used to order religiously, comes now topped with dry, under sauced meat and a stale bun. The Spam Musubi used to be served the traditional style and it was changed to a deep fried disaster with extra, unnecessary added ingredients. The menu and recipes used to be perfect and they were all changed to lesser versions which really sucks becuase it's no longer worth $15 a plate here now.

The food was well-prepared and the staff was extremely friendly. I especially enjoyed the Kalua pork tacos. For appetizers, you can choose four options and create your own culinary adventure. I will definitely return to this mini oasis in Astoria.

First of all service not professional we waited to order because waitress was busy eating right on the floor after we ordered they bringappetizers with one entree and I have to wait for my. Food had no flavor. Gravy just no flavor consistency is horrible noseasoning and brown avocado how can you serve that. Coconut shrimp just grease coating with no coconut never tried shrimps thatbad. Skewers so dry. Rice is mushy . It?s amazing not one dish that you can be ok with. Anyway if you hungry for Hawaiian foodplease just take your time and travel to the city and go to Noreetuh best Hawaiian food.

The food is tapa sized... read more Highwater has a nice covered outdoor patio for those who still prefer outdoor dining. But their service is slow if you?re seated outside. The food is tapa sized, so make sure to order a few dishes if you want to share. Some of my favorites would be coconutshrimp and pork belly bun. The chill environment is definitely good for dates, but otherwise nothing special.
