Description
Dining at this local vegan restaurant presents a rollercoaster of experiences. While the flavorful dishes, such as the Baja chik'n tacos and tostones rellenos receive praise, the service often disappoints. Diners have encountered significant wait times, unprepared staff, and issues with incorrect orders, leading to frustration, especially during special occasions. Despite the charming atmosphere, particularly in the back patio, consistency in service and menu offerings leaves much to be desired. While many revel in the unique plant-based menu, the need for better customer service and communication is evident for this eatery to truly thrive.

3 stars only because I went recently for lunch and it was very nice! The coffee drinks we got to go were nothing special, not very tasty but the server was very friendly. My friend who isn 't vegan enjoyed their meal of the chicken burger and fries, and the tostones rellenos was fresh and delicious. However my friend and I just went back hoping to partake in the vegan brunch offer we have been looking forward to for weeks. We got there 10 minutes after they opened, they didn 't seem ready for guests and had to confirm if brunch was actually available. We sat outside which has a great atmosphere! Loved that. Took our order, our coffee and tea come out about 10 minutes later. Then we sit for nearly an HOUR waiting for our food only to be told that the kitchen is having problems and we will not be getting our orders. The waiter apologized, and comped the drinks. But after an hour of waiting for food that apparently was never going to come, and slipping on the floor inside because for some reason the back patio had been hosed down like it was an aquarium I 'm really really hesitant to go back. It 's unfortunate because I really want to like this place, but y 'all need to get it together.
I love coming here, but that was absolutely terrible. I came for brunch as it was listed on their website and they say they don't do it anymore. then they gave me a menu that had barely anything available, and to round it off, waited a little over an hour for the escape when it was empty more than half the restaurants. as amazed as bad that was. at least that was incredible. but afteros shouldn't take an hour.
The Buffalo cauliflower was excellent, while the Impossible burger was just average. The ceviche was decent.
I've visited this restaurant twice and typically order a dish featuring the chik'n. While I’m not vegan, I go with a friend who is, and we both enjoy the food. On my last visit, I had the Baja chik'n tacos, while my friend tried the tostones rellenos. The tacos were almost indistinguishable from real chicken tacos, but even if they weren’t, they were still delicious. They were generously filled with guacamole, spicy mayo, and pickled onions. The tostones had a similar filling but also included zucchini and mushrooms. I also ordered a passionfruit juice, but it tasted a bit diluted. Overall, the food is very flavorful, although the service was a little slow, especially considering there were only three parties of two in the restaurant at the time. They offer brunch and frequently host events, so it's definitely a place worth checking out.
Fought with some friends to brunch, but when we showed up (during the brunch times) they said they had rewritten their menu and could not offer a brunch (there was no sign of their website or something). we had to order the lunch menu for which I was not in the mood, but thought it was good. I had the kicherbsandwich and it was so bland and so dry that I thought they had accidentally left the aioli (they did not). my friends seemed to enjoy their meal, so maybe I just have the bad menu item? at least it was relatiw cost-effective. and their Sangria pitchers are worth it. might go back if they actually have a brunch menu to try it, but otherwise ehhhh
