It was a chilly day for August, so we stopped in at the Talschlusshutte for hot chocolates for my wife, our daughter and her two kids. I ordered a cappuccino. We decided to to order some strudel from the dolci meu. What arrived was the most extravagant serving of strudel I've seen. The large slice of strudel was great, but it was accompanied by a small pot of vanilla sauce, a large helping of whipped cream and small slices of strawberries, grapes, oranges and kiwi and topped with a small piece of chocolate with their name on it. It was served on a slab of black slate, all for €4.50. The whole thing blew me away. The place is literally almost at the end of the road in Italy, as far as you can go before crossing into Austria, but it's definitely worth the trip.

We really had a lovely day.
