China Lite - Port Huron
China Lite
Description
Recent visits to a neighborhood Chinese restaurant reveal a wide range of experiences. While some patrons laud the almond chicken, wonton soup, and generous portions as exemplary, others express disappointment in dishes like crab rangoons and ramen-based lo mein. Certain items are reported to lack flavor, and sauces are criticized for being overly sweet or salty. Despite a few consistently positive experiences, many diners question the restaurant's quality, with a noticeable decline in standards. Overall, while there are some standout dishes, the inconsistency in food quality may deter repeat visits for many.

They clearly cannot tell the difference between chicken and beef. You won’t get what you order. Price per person: $10–20
Well I guess gone is the institution that was China lite. I just ranted about how China lite was the best Chinese in town and how I often times just ordered a big bowl of wonton soup and a few egg rolls. Their stuff was unique and so good. I absolutely loved their steak kow... Well they must have gotten a new chef or something because I ordered a dinner for two with steak kow and pepper steak and it was horrible. It was almost as if they took a roast and sliced it up. On top of that, the wonton soup was almost clear and they only gave me enough for one person. The rice had this weird nasty flavor to it. The only good thing was their egg roll and plum sauce...a waste of $29. And the real disappointing thing is that after visiting and being disappointed with the Marysville location I had hoped the north end had retained its quality, but it has not. I won't be going back Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Egg Roll
The chicken lo mein was made with ramen noodles instead of lo mein noodles. The dumplings were clumpy and had gross sauce. The sauce for the pepper steak was too salty and too sweet. The sauce for the sweet and sour chicken didn’t taste right. We ordered our food to go, so I can’t comment on the service at the restaurant. No one liked their egg rolls.
