We eat at this restaurant as much as possible as it is not near our home but food, service, and prices are excellent. We have never been overcharged or gotten any bad food, not like other restaurants in the area. Waitstaff is always very nice and accommodating and great food choice. View all feedback.

The group I was with have been here before, this was my first time. They raved about it so I was looking forward to breakfast at brunch when we arrived. There was a 20 minute wait which is fine, our service was fast and friendly even though they were busy. The food wasn’t great and even my group was disappointed; no taste, bland, boring. The best tasting item was the jam for the rye bread lol. If I was blindfolded, I could tell I was eating jam and drinking coffee but couldn’t have said what the other items were within the full breakfast. Sadly the rest of the group agreed about their meals too. Our server was friendly, actually brought additional eggs out right at the beginning as she didn’t think the eggs were cooked according to order. She “didn’t like the looks” and “didn’t look over-easy”. In retrospect, this could have been an indication. Considering I have never been before, I would try again just to see if it was an “off” day. I wanted to share what happened on 2 separate occasions at Day Break Cafe. It has me concerned how the owner is treating the waitresses with all of the “rules” there. This morning I was delivering a door dash order. The customer messaged me and asked if I could add some ketchup. The staff refused to give ketchup and said the customer has to pay for that. Pay for ketchup with a carry out order? On Veteran’s day I had a bad experience as well. It was a Friday night a hour before close, hardly any customers. I took my grandpa with mobility issues to celebrate Veteran’s day and was told we weren’t allowed to sit down until the whole party arrived. The waitress was right there when I called my mom to verify she was in the parking lot. Yes, there are seats at the hostess stand but when you have mobility issues its hard to keep getting up and down. Again, was told those are the “rules.” I have never been treated like it’s boot camp at a restaurant before. I’ve also waitressed for years and am shocked from both of those situations. 1st time there. Got carry out. The burger was good. The fries were great! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Mom and I had lunch. I had a Hot Beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and extra gravy. Quite good! The side dish I chose was the Zucchini Blend which was mostly green peppers which wasn't what I was expecting. I'm not a fan of peppers.
