Mr. Z's - Plainfield

This is a fantastic restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food! The pizza was definitely better than what I've had at Longo's. However, I was a bit disappointed that they don't offer a variety of non-alcoholic drinks suitable for diabetics. I had to stick with water, although they do provide sugar-free tea with the option of sweeteners, which was nice. It would be great to see more drink options beyond just tea. Overall, I absolutely loved the experience and will definitely be returning!

I hosted my husband's retirement party here on May 29, 2022, and it was wonderful! The food was delicious, and the servers were friendly and courteous. It was a truly beautiful experience! A special thanks to Chelsea and Lynn for coordinating the entire event. I was so impressed with everything you did!

I'm not one to speak negatively about a restaurant, but my experience with the bartender really left a sour impression. While I was waiting for my takeout order, I decided to enjoy a beer or two. The bar was fully occupied, so I stepped to the side to wait. After a few moments of being met with glares, she finally approached me with a condescending attitude. I felt treated like a second-class citizen as she rushed me along. Normally, I wouldn't think much of it, but as I sat there finishing my beer, I couldn't help but notice how she was friendly and welcoming to everyone else at the bar. It felt like a complete Jekyll and Hyde situation. The rest of the place seemed nice and would have been a great spot to visit regularly.

I wish I could give more than five stars! The bread, Caesar salad, and drinks were incredible. The chicken Parmesan portion was huge—enough for four meals! The fruity DeMar with Moné sauce was absolutely delightful. The scallops and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The little neck clams were a bit chewy, but that’s usually the case once they’re cooked. Our server, Haley, was fantastic!

The food here is fantastic and consistently fresh. I usually order takeout, so I can't speak to the dining experience inside the restaurant.
