On retrouve l'ambiance des anciens restaurants avant la révolution de la cuisine gastro.Une carte assez simple mais avec l'essentiel.La cuisson est faite au feu de bois et devant vous.J'ai commandé une andouillette bien grillé avec plein de sauce et j'ai mangé tel que j'avais demandé.Un bon fromage Blanc crème siboullette.... trop bonCe resto est accolé à l'hôtel Essayé au moins une fois

L'accueil du patron est parfait, c'est un passionné comme on aimerait en ren contrer plus souvent. Le conseil sur les plats et vins est parfait. Les plats sont bien cuisinés avec des produits frais et les prix sont très raisonnables, 25€ entrée, plat, dessert, et vin. Je vais revenir.

Service was friendly and my seafood ravioli excellent. A good alternative to eating in old Perouges!

The waitress was really helpful with French wor... read more We had a great dinner in Meximieux-Perouges at Le Menestrel. The wood-fired BBQ was the centrepiece of the room. The waitress was really helpful with French words we didn't know and the meal was tasty, with a good selection of veggies with the main BBQ choice. Their selection of meats was good. And I had a swordfish, which filled the bill. They had a reasonable wine selection and good prices.
