What Albino Ricci likes about Pipers of Penola:
A booked a table for 14 and had a fantastic evening. The food was first rate and the service and wine prices were very reasonable. I had the scallops and duck and both of these couldn't be faulted. View all feedback. What Damiana D'angelo doesn't like about Pipers of PENOLA:
My partner and I visited Pipers in Feb. I had heard great things but was unfortunately left disappointed and underwhelmed. We both had a duck special for our main which was very bland. read moreLocated in the heart of the world-renowned Coonawarra wine region, Pipers of PENOLA is a true gem that offers a dining experience not to be missed. The restaurant, housed in a charming converted church, offers an extensive wine list featuring local wines, although slightly on the pricier side. The food, while having potential, had a few misses in terms of execution, with some dishes being overcooked or lacking in flavor. However, standout dishes like the duck tortellini and succulent lamb mains left a lasting impression. The attentive staff, beautiful decor, and spacious layout add to the overall charm of the restaurant. Overall, Pipers of Penola offers a delightful dining experience that showcases fresh, local produce in a stunning setting.
