The staff at Hollicks we could not fault as they were there to please all customers. The gesture of a extra entrée was lovely and delicious Arichini Balls, thanks .This is not a criticism but the meals are large and we probably didn't really need a entrée at all. Upon deciding on the wine the waitress was kind enough to bring a couple of different ones out a as tasting and that was really good. The only hiccup we had... View all feedback.
What Milena Berger doesn't like about Upstairs at Hollick:
Maybe you shouldn't go back with such high expectations! Hollick is lovely, welcoming, scenic ... and the wine is to die for ... but our meal was not as good as last time. The bread was underdone and doughy, lacked salt, the duck dry and salty, but the kingfish terrific. Our feedback - waste of breath. View all feedback.
I was looking for a lunch meal overlooking a vineyard and I found it at Hollick Estate. not only did we have the perfect view overlooking their vines but we had the best Potato and Leek Soup we have ever had (lovely on a cold winters day) but also a delicious Cheese Plate and matching wine. Everything I had hoped for.

Upon deciding on the wine the waitress was kind enough to bring a couple of different ones out a as tasting and that was really good. The only hiccup we had was that we had a table near the window and because the whole place is glass, which is lovely during the day, on a cold night outside the temperature of the glass radiates in a few meters and the heating could have been turned up a notch.
I'll keep this simple. Quick light lunch. Service - without fault. Food - well, I don't like cauliflower and my wife doesn't like blue cheese, but we fought over the cauliflower and blue cheese soup. I ended up with an entree of bugs - I said it was a light lunch - and they were the best I've had South of the Tweed River. Wow. Just wow.
Very happy to visit Upstairs at Hollicks again during our annual Coonawarra trip. Food and service here are always good which allows you to be comfortable and just get on with enjoying lunch.Good variety of food options and no hassle dealing with dietary requirements.Wine list is terrific and prices are more than reasonable.
We drove into Coonawarra but missed out on tasting their wines and so decided to have dinner at their restaurant Upstairs instead. Hannah who was waiting at our table took the meaning of exemplary service to another level up. Having observed that I was undecided as to which wine to have with my rib eye, Hannah offered and served me at the dinning table 6 glasses of their best wines on tasting! And to top it all, the flight included their flagship Ravensworth cabernet. The crusted lamb which my wife selected was as delicious as my rib eye. Strongly recommended
