Lovely waitress advised us of wait and apologised-was nice to be kept informed of this-excellent service! Clean table and seats next to fire-menu extensive, clean and professional looking. Meals we ordered were lovely: chorizo scotch egg was massive and tasty and the porchetta outstanding (veg could have been hotter but everything else amazing) The chocolate cheesecake was delicious also and just the correct portion size. We love cheese and biscuits and maybe this could be introduced as a ‘special’. All round great experience. Well done!

A special mention has to go... read more Wow what can I say after a very entertaining greeting ! everything was perfect. The atmosphere, rooms, food and staff were amazing. A special mention has to go to my morning friend Julie. Julie knew I would be waiting at the bar door at 7 to log in and start work. She always made sure my cuppa was ready with the most delicious of shortbread. Julie exceeds expectations nothing is too much trouble, she certainly is like a workaholic. I cannot fault this place, if I had to find one thing as nothing is ever 100% perfect, I would say perhaps a little revision of the greeting would be good. You will love it here we will be back. Great pat on the back to all.

My wife had Moroccan lamb at £24, but the spices were simply dry for you to add as seasoning, rather than being cooked with the meat. The rice was too dry to eat. I had Calzone Parma, which consisted of mozzarella inside a pizza with a slice of ham on the top, a heap of rocket and tomato sauce in a container. My wife asked for a glass of wine which never turned up. We were asked if the meal was OK by the waitress and my wife said hers wasn't but that is the last we heard of it. We weren't even asked if anyone would like a dessert or coffee. For a midweek day when it wasn't busy, this was very poor. Will we be going back? Not anytime soon!

We were greeted by a friendly staff member who showed us to our room, which was clean and comfortable. The food was exceptional, with generous portions and delicious flavors. The staff at the bar and restaurant were attentive and welcoming. The breakfast was also great, and we enjoyed watching the open kitchen. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we will definitely recommend and return to this place. Thank you!
