take a diversion from the pennine bridleway a lunch break here and eating was beautiful. there is a vegan menu. the personal was also beautiful. in any case, the journey on the hill is worth it! View all feedback.

can not recommend this location enough. nice eating and great atmosphere. what really differentiates are the fantastic employees. I have never felt welcome when they are in a pub to foot and they will do everything they can possibly do to ensure the best customer service! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. WOW! Came to the area for.my birthday, decided to come to this pub.. even with our 2 dogs the welcome was warming! Great atmosphere, great staff, AMAZING FOOD!!!! Ordered steak, which usually I will avoid unless I know I'm guaranteed perfect! Well, just to say CHEERS CHEF!!!!!!! absolutely done to perfection! We live approx 45 mins away, I am now prepared to drive to this place JUST for the food! Thanks so much!
Had two lunches here and the last one I have to say was the best meal out I can remember: fantastic sea bass with chorizo and pea risotto. Living quite close I'm going to have to be careful not to keep going back too often
Another lovely lunch here; great food, very friendly service and tasty dishes to suit most tastes. Lovely comfort food I had the beef guiness suet pudding with delicious mash and sweet red cabbage. Tasty desserts too. Can highly recommend this pub for a lovely meal.
