We stayed at the lodge and made a last-minute reservation at the Gas House restaurant. They were able to accommodate us despite being very popular, offering a great selection of delicious gastropub dishes. The food was excellent, and the other dishes we saw looked tempting as well. Very poor service, over and hour and a half sat at the table and still hadn’t cleared out starter plates never mind had our main. Had to ask twice for drinks and the plates to be cleared. Food was ok. Will not be eating here...again until something changes. View all feedback.
Last night we went to this restaurant for dinner. It was not crowded when we arrived. The staff was friendly and courteous. The menu had a wide variety of options. Our order was promptly taken and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The dishes and drinks were served hot and beautifully presented.
We stopped by just for a drink, but I have to admit that this pub is absolutely gorgeous. Adorned with ivy and hanging baskets, it is visually stunning. The selection of beer and lager is excellent. Additionally, it was once Guinness World Record holder for the largest variety of gins, with over 600 different options.

I went to the fence gate today for a beautiful mother meal! everything was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be happier! the staff was very polite and honorful, depending on the desire, we ask it was a joy to visit again! it was good worth the...Travel for the amazing eating and the service.
