Nestled in Colne, About Coffee Ltd. is a charming retreat that combines modern indie decor with a warm ambiance, making it a standout destination for coffee lovers. Guests rave about the excellent coffee selection and a diverse menu that includes vegan and gluten-free options. The friendly, helpful staff create an inviting atmosphere, though some suggest that the noise level could be improved with more relaxed seating and louder music. Despite being primarily a takeaway spot during recent lockdowns, the quality remains top-notch. With its wide variety of teas, delicious cakes, and welcoming vibe, this café is a perfect local gem.
My favorite spot in Colne to relax, savor a delicious cup of coffee, and enjoy a good book or people-watching. The service is fantastic and friendly, with a great selection of cakes, toast, and more. Overall, this coffee shop is top-notch.
Our favorite coffee shop in Colne is located at the top of the hill in the town center. They have a fantastic coffee menu and we always enjoy two Cortados, which cost £2.60 each. The quality is top-notch and the service is very friendly. It's no wonder this place is so popular with locals.
About coffee had been recommended to me by my friend and I felt I had to pay it a visit. Unfortunately my car had broken down due to a infestation of ferrits chewing my throttle cable in half so to get there on my only day off for 6 months, I decided to ride my horse Terry and to make sure I arrived when they opened at 8am I had to set off the night before at 10.30pm. I left Batley, West Yorkshire in torrential rain and howling wind and my shoe fell off whilst Terry had become disturbed by a bin bag blowing in the wind so I was open to the elements, but after such roaring reviews I persevered through the many obstacles that I was to encounter. Not far out of Bradford at around midnight my other shoe fell off and I contracted a mild skin condition but as I said, the glowing reviews spurred me on. At Shipley I was accosted by a group of around 11 men and they demanded I gave them my hat. I couldn't argue or fight my way out of this predicament so shoeless and hatless I soldiered on through the night salivating at the thought of the fantastic caffeine rich beverages coming my way. Upon arriving in bandit country, otherwise known as Keighley, I had to make sure my wits were about me and took a short cut over the moors. Bullets were dodged and I was becoming saddle sore but hot coffee was calling from over the boarder. At this point it had got to 2am and the pair of us were cold and tired but we pressed on into the cold night. As the sun began to rise over the border into Lancashire we walked straight into a bog and Terry said he had had enough of this ridiculous, farcical and ill organised debacle and he trotted off back in the direction of Batley. So there I was, shoeless, hatless and horseless in the pooring rain but I was nearly there. I could smell the coffee wafting over the hill. Upon reaching Colne my skin condition had manifested into Vitiligo and I was struggling to walk so I crawled the rest of the way. All of a sudden I could see about coffee like a beacon of hope. I crawled through the door, battered bruised and parched and was politely informed the coffee machine was knackered and i was offered tea which I am allergic to. I turned around and went back to Batley. Picked up a coffee in Greg's instead.
The coffee was good and they offer free water, the only negative was the atmosphere, it could do with being a bit more relaxed with some comfier seating and music, I had to listen to the 3 workers and a customer chatting really loud right next to my table. Actually I don't think she even bought anything, just came in to chat. Was there music? If there was it needed to be a bit louder to drown out the conversations!
My partner and i come here frequently! We absolutely love it! The coffee is always made perfectly and they have a great selection to choose from as well as lovely fresh cakes
