Junz - Parker
Junz
Description
Jun Makino, a talented chef with a unique background in both Japanese and French cuisines, opened Junz in Parker in 2003. His creative fusion of flavors has delighted patrons, offering sushi and miso soup appetizers followed by entrees like broiled Chilean sea bass with risotto and lobster bouillabaisse sauce. Despite initial confusion, Makino's bold culinary vision is now winning over diners who are beginning to appreciate the innovative blend of flavors at Junz.

I always request Junz for my Birthday dinner and it's easy to know why! Their lobster tempura appetizer is to die for and my mom and I both order our own separate plates of it to feast on its golden goodness. For rolls, I highly recommend the Volcano Roll. I usually split four rolls with my mom and they have so many options that the combinations are endless. The service and ambiance are great.
Junz has consistently been the best sushi restaurant we've ever visited. Whenever we venture out to try a different place, we inevitably leave feeling disappointed and wishing we had just gone to Junz instead. This restaurant never lets us down! I wholeheartedly recommend the chopped scallop handrolls, the volcano roll, the rainbow roll, the country-style salmon, and the tempura roll.
I typically go during lunch rather than dinner, and I order the same thing every time: Lunch Deluxe B, which is their sushi lunch. It includes a delightful assortment of fresh, plump nigiri and a California roll that provides a hearty bite. The generous plate also comes with a salad dressed in a homemade Japanese dressing, a full serving of shrimp and vegetable tempura, and steamed Asian-style vegetables. More often than not, I take half of my meal home to savor later. If you haven't tried their Hamachi-kama yet, I highly recommend it. If you're a fan of yellowtail fish, this is the perfect appetizer for you. I'm also a big fan of their green mussels! If you find yourself in the Parker area and are looking for the freshest sushi or a delicious Japanese meal, I highly suggest you visit Junz.
Do you like sushi Den? Do you like Saigon station? If the answer was yes then you will NOT enjoy junz. It's a very Americanized version of something that should have been kept traditional.
