Contribute FeedbackThe Douglas offers an inconsistent experience according to online reviews. While some enjoy the high-quality food and service, others are disappointed by the outdated menu, lackluster atmosphere, and subpar food quality. The ambiance of the restaurant is described as casual, despite higher prices. Mixed opinions on cocktails, entrees, and desserts indicate a need for improvement. However, the establishment receives praise for friendly service, cleanliness, and delicious dishes when prepared correctly. Overall, The Douglas appears to be a decent choice for a special occasion or hotel dining, but improvements are needed to match customer expectations.
My husband, daughter and I were looking for a last minute reservation on Saturday night. We chose Douglas because it had a table available, but worried about the price review. What we found was a fabulous surprise. The dining room was very casual with excellent food and great service at a price. I would encourage the restaurant to change its music selection, soften its lights and change its price review on Open Table. Maybe frightening diners looking for a casual evening and a great dinner we found. We will return! Also note USE parking lot!!!!
Hidden Gem! The food was great and that was a quiet little place. We enjoyed our cocktails and had a great experience!
Great food, service and atmosphere! Wonderful experience!
A mixed bag... This was our second time to eat here, and the experience was similar to the first. Our server was nice enough, but it took FOREVER to get our drinks, and our server just didn't seem to be aware of our needs or how to manage orders at a table. It also took forever to get into our food order, and the order also took a while to come. After our entrees we wanted to order dessert and after dinner drinks, but it took so long until our server came to ask us that we only decided to close instead. But as for food: We had the caprese salad and it was phenomenal! Three different types of tomatoes, all fresh, and with bacon added to the normal ingredients, it was really fantastic. My wife had the salmon shell, I had the braided short ribs. She LOVED her, like me. The short ribs were so tender and juicy that one could crush the meat with a fork. Great taste, and on a bed of perfectly prepared Polnta. And then there was the Maque Choux (a southern shell of corn, paprika, onions, etc.). I was blown away from his taste and wanted a bigger support it was so good. So, I guess if you don't mind eating literally twice as long as it is really necessary, this seems like a place to get fantastic food. But if you wait longer than normal on every step of your culinary experience is not your thing, you can want to happen.
The food is delicious-best Asparagus I have ever had grilled! We loved the size of it and a great bar too. Hidden GEM in Parker make reservations for sure.
